GMA Design Group is proud to announce the completion of a new 78,664 SF cold storage facility for Mies Family Foods in Kansas City, Kansas, where GMA provided architectural and interior design services. The facility was designed to support the company’s continued growth and operational expansion, delivering a modern, efficient environment that more than triples its previous capacity.
The state-of-the-art building features a 41,000 SF 0°F freezer, a 13,500 SF 38°F cold dock, and an 8,000-square-foot 36°F cooler. Constructed with insulated tilt-up panels and insulated metal wall systems, the facility includes a 32-foot clear height, ten cold dock positions, and a drive-in ramp; each carefully designed to optimize performance, efficiency, and workflow.
